Although I didn’t get laid off from my job, I still suffered the consequences of being unemployed in a down economy. I was smart enough, however, to start my own business but getting it off the ground proved to be more work than I was expecting. Even though 2010 has gotten off to a good start, I could still use a vacation.

A friend sent me a link to the Parco San Marco Italian Spa Hotel website that made me want to whip out my credit card and book one of their Lake Lugano Vacation packages. The specific one I am interested in is their Well-Being Week which is seven nights of pure pampering. You get a free daily breakfast buffet and 4-course dinner (mmm Italian food), three types of massages, an aromatherapy sea salt body peel, a mini facial, manicure or pedicure, access to their spa and daily fitness program.

I’m all for the pampering. The exercise? Not so much. However, having wanted to learn how to play golf for awhile I would be interested in taking lessons at their Lake Como Golf club. Rumor has that George Clooney plays there. I won’t lie. I’d only be taking the lessons with the hope of running into him on the green. Wazzup Clooney!

Anyway, if 2010 proves to be a profitable year then next winter will probably see me at the Parco San Marco. If you’ll be there in winter 2011 look me up. I’ll be the crazy woman chasing after George Clooney on the golf course.
