Also known as Red Drum or simply Reds, these salt water beasts thrive in the marsh and coastal waters offering fishermen the luxury of trying to catch them year round. But Redfish are not known for calmly going into the fish bucket. No, these sea monsters are fierce fighters and will wrestle and struggle with you every step of the way; something Sakwinder Narwal experienced firsthand when he went fishing in Buras, Louisiana.

Choosing to fish at low tide, Sakwinder Narwal used a ¾ oz jughead and queen sized minnow lure. Using a popup method, he managed to hook a Redfish who gave him the workout of his life as he tried to reel him. When he was successful in getting the fish out of the water, Sakwinder was proud to see it was a ten pound beauty worthy of the effort.

So if you want to fish for Redfish in Louisiana, remember to bring your best pole and fishing lures. Anything less may result in a Redfish making his escape and leaving you with a broken pole for your effort. And what fisherman wants that?

One of the benefits of being an entrepreneur is having the freedom to do what you want when you feel like doing it. While it may take some time to reach that level of independence, especially if you just started your business, if you play your cards right, eventually you’ll be able to do what Sak Narwal does.

Sak Narwal is an avid fisher and has managed to build a lifestyle that lets him indulge in his hobby. But he is more than just an enthusiast. You could say he’s obsessed with fishing. Like most dedicated fishermen, he has dozens of rods, hundreds of lures and has fished just about any place where there is water including Florida, New York and Louisiana.

As an amateur ichthyologist he also knows a lot about fish; their habitat, feeding and breeding habits. And while Sak Narwal loves to eat fish, he practices “catch and release” fishing. For him, it’s not about the sport but rather the relaxation he gets from being on the water on a beautiful day.
